Send email from your own dedicated address. Personal agents can only email their owner (the account holder) at the email address the owner verified — third parties are impossible by design. Agents that belong to an enterprise (managed-contract) organization may also email external recipients with --to/--cc, and replies from those recipients wake the agent. Check `address` → recipient_policy first. Every send costs SU and is subject to a daily limit, and an AI-agent identification footer is added automatically.

When to use

• The user asks you to email them a report, summary, notification, or reminder.
• You finished an autonomous run (schedule/heartbeat) and the result is worth emailing to the owner.
• The user wants a recurring emailed digest — combine with a schedule and send each run to the owner.
• You want to check past mail you sent, or replies that came back.
• Your organization is on an enterprise plan (recipient_policy=EXTERNAL_ALLOWED) and the user asks you to email a customer, partner, or colleague on their behalf.
• NOT for emailing third parties when recipient_policy is OWNER_ONLY — the server ignores --to and delivers to the owner instead.
